How Do I Have Peace With God? (How Do I Become a Christian?)
The Bible has the answers:
God’s Love: “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
God’s Plan: “Therefore, by the works of the law there shall no person be justified [made right] in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God (God making us right with Himself) apart from the law is shown forth. . .which is by means of faith in Christ Jesus unto all and upon all those who believe” (Romans 3: 20-22).
Our Need: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory (excellence) of God” (Romans 3:23).
God’s Solution: “But God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). “For the wages (payment/penalty) of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
How You Receive God’s Gift of Life and Forgiveness (What must I do?): “That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
God’s Assurance: “For whoever (this includes YOU) calls upon the Name of the Lord (this means to believe God exists and call out to Him in prayer) shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
Christ’s Exclusivity and Inclusiveness: “I AM the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6); this is Jesus’ exclusive claim, but He issues it with an universally inclusive call “Whosoever will may come”.
Respond to Christ’s call today. And let us know you have so we may encourage you in your faith.
